is a Russian pianist who was awarded third prize in the 2006 Leeds International Piano Competition. He was also awarded first prize in the 2010 Belgian Queen Elisabeth Competition for piano

Anna Rakitina 

has been the BSO’s Assistant Conductor since September, 2019. Recent second-prize winner at the Malko Conducting Competition in Denmark, Anna Rakitina has degrees from the Moscow Conservatory in both musicology and conducting, with a graduate diploma in conducting from the Hochschule Hamburg, received in 2018.

Xian Zhang, who made her professional debut conducting Le nozze di Figaro at the Central Opera House in Beijing at the age of twenty, currently serves as the music director of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. At Frost she conducts the SF Symphony in a program of Still and Mozart, with the Piano Concerto performed by pianist George Li.
