school play week

 Tuesday helped out dress rehearsal main task is to brush pink powder to kids cheeks. Most girls are self sufficient and better than me. My main achievement was to get all boys rosy cheeks . There is ancient hair irons I grabbed one with wrong end and hurt my left hand. The girl who needs curly hair quickly realized that would not happen today maybe tomorrow with a different make up hair parent volunteer… It’s sweet still the whole hour spending with kids.

At work, I am getting the same cold from Tom, so carrying loads of cough drops in purse now…

 小朋友训练时经常躺平心态，尽量躲着球，和老师争球，立马收回，尽管应该是她的球。而自己也没有做到很好，早上周会第一反应是躲，不肯发言。只想说做了什么而不是做到了什么，究竟是什么问题。－式－样，批评她的时候，想想自己。

Lunar new year

 came and passed, another weekend I missed Japanese class... :( 

Sunday did manage to visit Apple Park fitness center, only stream room works, it was a good idea to take advantage of the company offered gym. On the way walking back to my car, I was thinking, this is one of reasons I still love working here.

眼泪

 Riding the ski lift sometimes is a lonely thing. On the way to the mountain tears came into eyes in those moments I thought about people in my past and people in my life right now, thank you, I am lucky to be still able to enjoy so much good things at this moment. Yes I am much happier than i was decade(s) ago…

 It is indeed a heartwarming movie. V laughed pretty hard, and I loved that.

2023 new year resolution - only buy ten items in a month

going to see "Puss In Boots: The Last Wish"

我听的没理想编辑部力荐这部，正好一月的第一个周五没事，买了票和爆米花.Let's see if this is a movie worthing watching in theater. The first movie night out in 2023.

The last movie we watched in Cinemark 16 in 2022 is Avatar: The Way of Water. Even though the plot is a bit simplified, the whole experience was still amazing. It's such a treat to be able to going back to Pandora. We are looking forward to Avatar III and see what would be brought onto table by James Cameron next year.

Interesting movie, the presentation of food seems to be the main part of the characters of this movie.

One observation:

It seems all members of "them" are too conformant to the rules, the game play they are so used to. So they seem to give up on fighting back very long ago.

The only surviving guest, the way she survived is because she dared to voice her disapproval of the chef, how she is totally not fan of his. Of course, she was the queen in "The Queen's Gambit", we could not expect any less of her.

rainy January

 we were surprised to know it has been raining heavily in bay area when we were in Hokaido.

And today, we are experience the rain and heavy winds as it was depicted from our friends horror stories or youtube videos where people playing water sports on the street. It was not that bad, but the wind is strong!

The basketball rack was fallen on Syracuse Dr, I felt lucky for our neighbor that it didn't fall on top of his car...

Otaru 小樽

 Otaru turns out to be a bit disappointing. I only encountered shops there. And the theme was shopping. The glass soy sauce bottles and music boxes are extremely well-made and elegant. But, at the end of shopping day, it filled me with the familiar emptiness. V and I took the JR and subway to hotel, then we walked and took limousine bus to CTS airport, another shopping destination. 

It was my kind of day (shopping). But after spending it that way, I found I didn't like it.

The urchin rice from seafood market along with the salmon fish seeds were dangerously delicious in true sense since I had to take red-pill for diarrhea when back in hotel. 

Rusutsu 留寿都

 six ski days this 2022-2023 season already.

And the two ski days in Rusutsu were one of favorites! Especially the first Rusutsu day, it was a love at the first sight. The ski runs are so wide, not that steep, and very few people as well. I ended up exploring myself and tried more red runs. And the steamboat run at mountain Isola is the best! Even though the second day 12/28, it was snowing which made the experience less enjoyable. But I still managed to have 10+ runs even though I could hardly see at the top part of steamboat run. It was a struggle to decide if I should continue to take more runs or go back hotel with the changing weather. Due to the heavy snow we had to stay in on the third day in Rusutsu, else I would have another favorite ski day under my belt.

And, six ski days later, I think I found my heels! I can feel my heels can turn now, one more step towards parallel ski...
