One of acquaintances passed away end of last December. Attended his funeral in zoom when I was still in Vancouver. His two young kids (11 and 13 years) are at the similar age I was when my dad passed away. My sixth grade in elementary school was difficult, my angry face was shown in the elementary school graduation photo. Very sad for these kids who lost their father at such young age.
Then, upon back from the long two weeks vacation, then V tested positive in home-kit. So, we crossed the line. We are the positive family... :((
And submitted V's middle school application(s) in time, almost at the last minute.
And my side, chatted with another group, and started thinking about trying something new professionally seriously.
During this, had a small group party with some old friends in Foothills park. News about some friends big career advancements. These came back as: everyone else around is advancing, I am still at the same spot, if not even backward. Of course, this type of thinking *is* wrong and useless. Change should come from within, not from peer pressure. Yeah, right!
